Norm Rothery founded Stingy Investor back in the early days of the internet as an interesting hobby while he was studying for his Physics PhD.
The website first started in 1995 as "Directions: an investors guide to North American equities" and was renamed Stingy Investor in 2000.
In 2004 Norm joined Dan Hallett and Associates Inc. (DH&A), and Ontario-based investment counsel firm, as a Financial Consultant. At the same time, Stingy Investor officially became a DH&A publication.
